My son is all about hockey, and has been since he was old enough to voice an opinion on the subject. I bought this for him for a little surprise, and he loves it. He's nearly four, and he pretends to read it to himself - he's almost memorized the text. The text is in riddle format, which is better for older children, so it surprised me that this was a board book. Not that I'm complaining! He's a boy and very rough-and-tumble, so in our case, it's a huge plus.If you like this book, also check out Hockey Animals, Hockey Colors, Hockey ABC, Hockey Shapes, and Hockey Numbers. They are great for little ones that love hockey!
Great book for 3 year old grandson that loves watching hockey games! Had to give 4 stars because I just received second book to give as gift & some edges of cover are bent (maybe packaging), so return this copy.
As hockey fans, I definitely wanted to get my son a hockey book. He enjoys it very much and is always happy to turn the pages while I read it. It is written with UK English, so some of the words are not spelled in the American English forms. That doesn't bother me though. It's just another teaching moment so my son can start learning about other cultures and dialects.
Why not !! The little tyke needs to learn hockey !! Great quality book that withstands well to his playtime .
